Nana and Pawpaw time!

Lucky for us, Nana and Pawpaw were just a short drive away while we were at Sharptop.  The girls got to play with them 2 different weekends.  Everyone was all smiles... the girls, Nana and Pawpaw, and of course, Joel and me too!

Sharptop

One of the great things about being on Young Life staff is the opportunity for our family to live at a Young Life camp for a month each summer. Joel has a job (this year he was Work Crew Coordinator) and the girls and I get to play with all the other staff families. This year we were at Sharptop, in north georgia. We were there with a bunch of old friends from columbus... where I lived before we got married. And some of our memphis friends too.. the Torres and drew and ellie holcomb. What a fun month and it was a needed break from the packing, moving and renovating that we were immmersed in before camp. Literally, we sold our house and the closing was the day before we left for camp. So while Joel was super busy demo'ing and redoing our new house I had to have everything packed in the old house and it had to be in the new house before we left for camp. It was quite the job, especially with 3 girls! Needless to say, it was a long 2 months leading up to camp and we were so thankful to finally be there.
Here's a small peek at our fun filled month....

Claire's first bath with her sisters... she handled the splashes and craziness like a champ!

The night that never ends.  Tableau, dinner, opera, square dance, dance through the decades, carnival.  wow!

Haley's Carnival

Haley turned 5 and invited us to her carnival party... the girls loved every minute of it- snowcones, popcorn, cotton candy (both girls wanted to hold some because it was pink, but neither liked it), face painting, animal balloons, and of course the huge slide.
