Moving to Memphis

As many of you already know we will be moving to Memphis in June. Joel has taken over the Area Director position for East Memphis Young Life and will start July 1st. This will be a difficult move in some ways as we leave behind Joel's parents and sister who live in Hoschton, Georgia as well as many friends and Young Life staff who Joel has served alongside during the past 15 years working with Young Life in Georgia.

This position came available recently and we felt the Lord leading us to pursue this move. Joel will be leading the existing YL staff and volunteers in Memphis and is excited to see what the Lord has in store as we begin this new journey.

The most exciting aspect of our new move is that Bethany's family is from Memphis. With the baby coming in August it will be great to be so close to her family.

You can be praying for us as we go through this transition of leaving dear friends and getting settled into a new house and community before the baby comes in August.

We are excited about the purchase of our first home which we are scheduled to close on in a few days. We will have at least one guest room and would love for you to come and stay with us...(Joel may need some help painting so bring your work clothes).

Addison Lane Scoggins

We feel pretty confident about this one but who knows, we may change our mind and name her Joelette.

It's a GIRL!

Bethany and I are so excited to welcome a little girl in August.

Here are some pictures from our 4D ultrasound.

She's gonna be a great boxer. Notice she is learning early to protect the face and prepare for a strong jab.
