Trampy

Trampy is Jack's name for the trampoline at Grandma and Pop's house. This trampoline was my birthday present when I was 10... it's been bouncing a LONG time! Addie Lane LOVES to jump (mostly run circles) on the trampoline. She also loves to be bounced while Jack is jumping. Her hair gets super staticy (is that a word?)

She definitely has no fear.. a good attribute for a gymnast. :)

Lulu

Lucy is starting to laugh.. it is so precious! Addie Lane never really laughed, coo'd, or smiled much at this age, so we are loving our happy baby!

This is crazy, but this is how she likes to sleep. She cranes her head back in her crib too. The funny thing is that this is how Addie Lane likes to sleep too... is that hereditary or do I just have two silly girls???

Trash??

One family's trash is our treasure!! This cute house was on the side of the road along with a Barbie Jeep. Addie loves the shutters, door and doorbell. She also likes to collect sticks and golf balls in her house. The jeep needs a new battery, but I don't know if I'm ready for Addie Lane to be driving yet anyway. We love our new free toys!

Laurie is due in 2 more weeks! We can't wait to meet Baby Miller!

All Smiles

sleepy

Addie Lane fell asleep in her high chair yesterday at lunch. The playground must have worn her out.

Lucy's 2 month checkup

I can't believe that Lucy is already 2 months old! She is growing up too fast! Lucy is 10.35 lbs (25-50%), 22.75 inches (75%) and 38.5 cm (25-50%).
Lucy loves to watch Addie Lane. She smiles a lot and likes to coo. Addie Lane gets a kick out of the cooing. I pulled the Bumbo out of Lucy's closet about a week ago. I don't know if Addie remembers it or if she just likes it, but she loves to pick it up, sit in it, or stand on it... all while saying "buhbo."
Here's Lucy's first time in the Bumbo seat.

This Week

My friend, Kelly Morrow, came to visit us last weekend. Addie Lane loves Kelly. The highlight of the weekend was watching Addie get so excited about her new potty, the potty book and the potty dvd. Kelly and I couldn't help but laugh at all the potty talk (the dvd even had a song about it :)
Lucy has had a bad cold and cough and she has slept even more than usual because of it. Poor girl... I feel so helpless that I can't make it better.
Addie is facinated by the nasal aspirator that I've been using on Lucy. She loves to pick it up and pretend to use it on herself. But if I ask her if she wants me to use it on her, she quickly says no and starts backing up. She obviously remembers how it feels.

Around the house

Lucy is growing like crazy. She is the sweetest little one. She's been sleeping through the night for the last week, and she still sleeps a lot during the day also... quite a change from Addie Lane as a newborn. Addie continues to be so helpful and VERY loving to her little sister. I was really nervous about the 18 month age difference, but it's been much easier than I anticipated.
Some fun news.. Addie has pooped in the potty a lot over the last week. I would see her squat and grunt and I'd say let's go to the potty. Sometime she would go and sometimes she wouldn't but she liked the excitement. Twice she has come and pointed to her bottom and said "diap" (which is diaper) and we run to the potty and she pooped both times. There are still lots of poopy diapers too, but I'm so impressed that she's catching on so quickly. I'm going to get a baby potty soon and we'll see how it goes. I'd love to only have one in diapers this summer, but that might be wishful thinking.
Here are some cute pictures of my sweet girls.

Fun with Aunt Jo and Nana

Aunt Jo and Nana came in town for a long weekend to see the girls. Fun times!!

Snow!

We got about 5 inches of snow this weekend. Unfortunately, Addie Lane and Joel are a little sick, so we didn't get to enjoy the snow as much as would have otherwise. But we did put our coats on to take some quick pictures.
